Last day of May women from Ukmerke gathered to Vladas Slaitas’ Public Library, where the final event of children’s drawing contest “Children need healthy mother” was held. After the event women had a lecture about oriental medicine. There was a “pink” shelve on the stage with relevant information about tricky disease of breast cancer.

 “Pink” shelve is like a “pink” weapon against breast cancer – said the presenter of the event Nijole Pakoniene. In most of the councils “pink” shelves work constantly, they are refilled. In these shelves women can also find literature about healthy lifestyle, medical plants. 

For the whole month wonderful and colourful children’s drawings were decorating the walls of recreation centres, libraries and schools. Most beautiful drawings were gathered in Ukmerge and were exhibited during the whole event.
